My very first post, y’all – yeeeks! {fist bump high five!}
Okay, now that that is out of the way, let’s talk super fun, yummy groom’s cakes, starting with this goodness –

Chocolate. Cookie Cakes. Strawberries. And, duh, gold! I love a bridal cake just as much as the next girl, probably more, but this guy was just perfection. So well received that it in fact inspired this rainbow version that I love just as much –

Both cakes used different recipes – one chocolate and the other a fun rainbow confetti cake. I simply frosted these babies up and stacked them a top cookie cakes purchased from Great American Cookie Co. and Mrs. Fields {per specific requests from the grooms – these guys are serious about their cookie cake, y’all}.
I am seriously loving the new trend of DELICIOUS groom’s cakes as opposed to the super themed-out ones because they are so fun to put together and always always a crowd pleaser. If you don’t love cookie cake, there is always this fun option –

This baby is a double barrel, semi-naked, chocolate & peanut butter confection drizzled in dark chocolate ganache and adorned with all kinds of fun candy! I even played around with edible gold leaf on a few pieces of that delicious chocolate – who wouldn’t want to just face plant in it? I know I did.
